Overview of Position

We are looking to fill a Machine Learning Engineer (AI data trainer) position, in support of development efforts to create “next generation” artificial intelligence systems. This contract position is designed for professionals who prefer work that is found at the intersection of machine learning, reasoning systems and solutioning problems in the real-world.

You will be collaborating with advanced AI research teams in assistance with training large language models (LLMs). The objective of your position will be to help improve the way in which AI systems reason, plan and take action from step to step. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving the reliability, explain-ability and effectiveness of AI models within the context of real-world scenarios.

You Will Be Responsible For

In your position as a Machine Learning Engineer/AI Data Trainer, your main task will be creating well-structured training data that clearly shows reasoning/decision making. You will be responsible for the following activities on a daily basis.

Creation of structured/clear traces of reasoning for difficult/technical/logical work.
Documenting the phases involved in the decision making, planning and problem-solving process as well as the tools/methods/responses that have been utilized to complete the actual work in an effort to demonstrate appropriate use of those tools/methods/responses when executing the work.
Reviewing AI generated results to ensure that they are accurate/reliable/clear.
Assisting with training AI models to create more consistent and clear experiences.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this position you must have the following:

A degree in machine learning/computer science/engineering or a related technical field.
The ability to communicate reasonably and in detail about complex technical subjects so that those subjects can be understood/related to easily by others.
The ability to think analytically and logically about a problem.
The ability to pay close attention to details and produce work at the highest quality level.

Preferred Experience

Although not required, the following experience is desired:

Knowledge of previous work within data annotation, data evaluation or AI quality assurance.
Experience working with AI technologies, ML pipeline or evaluation frameworks.
Knowledge of large language models.
