The Role:

As a solution architect, you'll be responsible for gathering and analysing customer requirements and analysis, and developing commercially viable technical solutions that meet those requirements. Balancing immediate and long-term delivery of solutions with roadmaps, execution strategies and other architectural requirements will be critical for success in this role.

What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities):

Some of your responsibilities will include:

Owning an end-to-end solution - including gathering and analysing requirements;
understanding and communicating the solution - from design to delivery;
developing prototype solutions;
developing technical specifications;
supporting project teams;
working closely with other product teams;
and mentoring other team members.

Key roles of the position include the following:

End-to-End Technology Solutions Implementation
Define the Scope, Architecture and Design of the Solutions
Provide knowledge transfer and development of components for reusability.
Managing the execution of strategies and creating solution roadmaps for solutions

Responsibilities

You will create and test solutions' components as well as serve as the technical lead throughout the solution creation life cycle. Post-deployment of the solution into production, you will continue to maintain the solution and assist with support to ensure stable, scalable and high-performing systems.

Operational duties of the job role include:

Loading data and running scheduled batch processes
Monitoring workflows and checking health of systems
Analyzing incidents and developing improvement plans

Required Core Competencies

The successful applicant must have 10+ years of large-scale production programming experience; deep expertise with the Python ecosystem is necessary; and hands-on experience with data engineering and AI-driven technologies will ensure success in this job.

Extensive expertise with SQL and NoSQL databases is required. Experience writing efficient SQL on huge datasets and working with distributed data is vital because Ericsson’s services run on corporate-sized solutions.

This job requires familiarity with container ecosystems today, therefore you would need experience building these systems. You would also need experience deploying large multi-cloud applications using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, so that your solution can be future-proof and move with you wherever you may need it to go.

The platforms/tools you will use are:

Docker, Kubernetes, Apache Airflow / Apache NiFi — for building scalable data pipelines that are secure/efficient and provide reliable services; and you will also have experience with deploying these same services into either AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP; as well as familiarity with how CI/CD pipelines work, so that you can automate and manage those processes.

You must have deployed and operated AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or GCP solutions as part of a team for life, and you should have a complete understanding about how CI/CD pipelines work, so you can leverage those processes to provide highly available and robust production systems.

You must have at least 4 years of relevant experience building, deploying, and/or operating Real World AI models in a production environment (Cloud &/or Edge). Without this real experience using AI models in production, building solutions will be more challenging for you and provide little to no value.
