Orion is currently looking for a Python Developer with extensive practical experience working with Generative AI technologies as well as familiarity with using modern software development workflows. This opportunity would suit current Developers who have a good level of comfort in building applications that leverage the use of AI technologies and will involve providing technical expertise in developing and integrating AI systems into customers’ existing platforms.

The main focus of the role will be to work with Engineering Teams in developing an AI Solution that enhances business workflow and product capabilities. A very strong coding competency, familiarity with the full life cycle of developing Artificial Intelligence systems/generators, and the ability to work effectively in Cross-Functional Teams are all required.

Main Duties

1. Create and incorporate Generative AI algorithms into enterprise applications and existing business processes.

2. Work closely with engineering, product management, and design (UX) teams to create robust, scalable AI-based solutions.

3. Write clear, efficient and properly-documented computer programs in Python utilizing appropriate development tools.

4. Take part in code review, debug functionality and run unit tests; to ensure functionality and reliability of programs.

5. Monitor and modify the AI/Machine Learning algorithm performance; regularly optimize/modify systems to improve efficiency.

6. Participate in each phase of the AI development lifecycle, including development, installation/deployment, around monitoring systems post-installation/environment.

7. Keep abreast of new developments related to artificial intelligence technology, generative AI framework and cloud technologies.

Needed Qualifications & Experience

• 4-6 years of work developing software professionally

• Advanced skill set in computer programming: Python (other acceptable programming languages include Java, .NET), experience full stack

• Experience developing with an analytics UI framework such as the Angular framework (and/or compatible UI frameworks)

• Ability to create and develop with Generative AI tools, tools for building AI applications, and frameworks for developing AI applications

• Experience with Azure and deploying AI applications in an Azure Cloud environment

• Completed multiple software/system development projects utilizing one or more programming languages, technologies such as Python, Java, and/or technologies such as .NET.

• Has a thorough knowledge and understanding of the entire software development process, from design through delivery

• Has a working knowledge of the AI development lifecycle; including use of AI lifecycle development, and how to integrate and monitor AI models within the AI lifecycle.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities; excellent analytical skills; ability to work as part of a team on a project; excellent ability to communicate; and strong interpersonal skills.

Required Educational Qualification:

Computer Science Degree (or other technically similar degrees).
