Overview of Role

This position is a critical role for developing artificial intelligence-powered solutions to enterprise customers, providing an excellent career path for someone early in the workforce that wants to develop an AI product, but is more focused on real-world implementations rather than just academic research.

The AI Solutions Engineer - Generative AI will work closely with solution architects, consultants and customer teams to create and deploy intelligent apps based on modern AI frameworks and Azure AI services, with hands-on experience building multi-modal AI and utilizing RAG retrieval based generation in addition to best practices of governance of enterprise artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

Development of AI applications

You will create AI powered applications using Python, and the latest AI frameworks.
You will design a solution that combines multiple models of AI together, such as language, vision, speech, and document intelligence.
You will also develop Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) implementations that consist of vector searching and enterprise data sources.
You will also develop integrations with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers using AI tooling frameworks.

Azure AI Solutions Development

You will design and deploy AI Solutions using Microsoft Azure AI Studio and Azure OpenAI.
You will also integrate the following key Microsoft Azure AI Services (also called AI solutions) into your solution:

Azure OpenAI
Azure AI Services
Azure Machine Learning
Microsoft Azure Data Platforms

You will assist with testing, deploying, and monitoring AI models within a cloud environment.

Delivering AI Solutions

You will help deliver AI Consulting Projects to Enterprise customers.
You will participate in solution architecture discussions/technical design reviews.
You will provide coaching and guidance to aid with the implementing, optimizing and rolling out of AI solutions in your customer's environment.

AI Optimization and Performance

You will monitor the performance / reliability of AI Applications.
You will implement techniques to optimize, evaluate and tune the use of prompts in AI solutions.
You will enhance the attributes of AI solutions - latency, scalability and cost effectiveness.

Responsible AI and Security

You will apply the principles of Responsible AI and Security Best Practices.
You will ensure all AI Solutions abide by Enterprise Governance, Data Privacy and Regulatory guidelines

Qualifications and Requirements

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related area.
At least 0-2 years of working experience on building AI or machine learning applications.
Strong programming skills using Python.
Hands-on knowledge of using Generative AI APIs such as OpenAI or Azure OpenAI.
Knowledge about using vector databases and RAG architecture.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud services.
Familiarity with how to build prompts and design AI workflows.
Ability to communicate and share ideas in both written and verbal communication.
Strong analytical, problem solving and communication capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Azure AI Studio or Azure AI Foundry.
Prior exposure to AI frameworks including:

LangChain
Semantic Kernel
LlamaIndex..

Prior knowledge or experience with multimodal AI models.

Prior experience deploying applications via Docker or on Azure cloud-based infrastructure.
Prior experience in a consulting environment or in a technical customer facing role.

Mandatory Certifications: Preferred

You must possess, or obtain within the first 6 months of employment, the following certifications;

* Microsoft Certified-Azure AI Fundamentals

* Microsoft Certified Azure AI Engineer Associate
